SINGLE MOMPRENEUR EMPOWERS OTHER SINGLE MOMS FINANCIALLY AND RELATIONALLY

One Atlanta mother never let the obstacles of life stand in her way. Samantha Gregory is a single mother to two, Alexzundra (25) and Alexander (21). Her journey through single parenthood has been anything but easy, however, she has weathered the storms of divorce and bankruptcy and braved the valleys of depression and abuse. Samantha has found peace in helping other single mothers find financial freedom and emotional stability through sharing her story as an author and a coach.
Samantha, a tech writer by trade, has found most of her career success through working for companies like NASA and Google to name a few. She found her love for computers at a very young age. "Loving computers and technology has really propelled me into a lot of opportunities. When we got our first computer at home with a dial-up modem, I was a teenager. I started to learn more about computers and then started to help others with administrative needs," says Gregory.
Aside from her success over the years, she has seen the highs and the lows of life and financial burden. However, Samantha did not let that stop her. She always used her writing skills as a side hustle to make extra money. "As a young girl, I can remember the struggle that my mother and my grandmother had. We were poor, we didn't have any money and I can always remember not wanting that for my life as an adult," Samantha recalls. That is where Samantha's drive and ambition stem from. In her teens, she began to envision herself as a successful adult wearing a business suit with a briefcase. The rest was history.
In 2008, after a failed marriage with tons of left-over debt and no job, Samantha started a blog called Rich Single Mama. She wanted something to work towards all while setting an affirmation of abundance for her life and helping other mothers through the process. "I wanted to show other single mothers that you don't have to always rely on child support, government assistance, or a dead-end job and that you can elevate your financial status," says Gregory. Through her blog, she empowers single mothers from topics of personal finance to parenting to personal growth and more. She shares financial tips, affirmations, and even budgeting worksheets to help single moms create a framework for their finances that will enable them to care for their household's needs.
As an author, Samantha has written and published over twelve books. As a writer, she gains most of her inspiration from her own wins and losses through her life journey. She is authentic in the manner in which she shares her life's struggles in an effort to help other women. Most recently she released No More Crumbs, a self-help book for women about becoming an empowered version of self in an effort to stop receiving crumbs from relationships and improving financial status.
