Kristen Massie, 38, of Bedford Virginia is making a new life and a new living in real estate. The single mom of three Audrey Faith (17), Riley (8), and Zeke (5) recently relocated from the island of Guam to Big Island, VA after a tumultuous marriage in search of a fresh start. After a chaotic move in the middle of a pandemic, Massie decided to pursue her long-time love for real estate by becoming a licensed realtor. She and her family are now adjusting to their new way of life with hopes for a bright future ahead.

Kristen was raised in the town of Bedford, VA. At the age of eighteen, she married her high school sweetheart and shortly after took on the role of a military wife when her husband decided to enlist. Kristen spent the next twenty years traveling the states from one military assignment to the next while her family grew. In 2017, the family moved on assignment to Guam where they were stationed up until last year.

With COVID-19 wreaking havoc on the island, its citizens on lockdown, and tensions high within the marriage, Kristen was given orders by the military to go back to Virginia with her children to safety when differences between her and her husband took a turn for the worst. With her kids in tow and COVID spreading across the country Kristen was forced to take a risk and fly back to her hometown to seek calmer waters. Saying 'Goodbye' to the life she'd created and friends she found dear in Guam was bittersweet but would be the end to the beginning of a new chapter in her life.

After twenty years of putting her dreams on hold to follow her husband around the world, Kristen, now a single mom, finally decided to set her sights on her own dream; real estate. Back in Virginia, during the pandemic, Kristen got her real estate license and was eager to get to work in an effort to start a new life. After getting her license she rolled up her sleeves and got straight to work. In August she joined Bald Guy & Associates where she has been making connections, listing, and selling homes ever since. "I don't see real estate as just dollar signs, I see real estate as making connections and finding them something that they are going to love so that five to ten years down the road they are going to say good things about working with me," said Massie.
